Welcome to Waseca...for an hour or a lifetime.

Waseca Minnesota

Derived from an Indian name meaning “Fertile Lands,” the Waseca area was first settled in the 1850s. Early pioneers were mostly farmers, but the merchants, lawyers, railroads and educators quickly followed. Waseca has grown from a crossroads village of farming to a scenic, prosperous city of approximately 10,000. It is the county seat of Waseca County, which has a population of over 19,000.
